Biography
ChuniTana is a Swedish Synthpop band formed in 2004, in Kållekärr, Tjörn. The band consists of Tony Marks (vocals, piano) and Steven Scott (bass). Their debut album "White November in China" was released in 2010 and since then they have been working on its successor. The sound of ChuniTana has been compared to musical acts such as A-ha, Fancy and Roxette.
Background
In December of 2004, author and producer Tony Marks launched the website of ChuniTana.com. At the time the name of ChuniTana was used as a pseudonym in Tony's debut as a writer. The website showcased his debut work: the poetry collection "Magic Love". This collection was the first one out of five to be released - the poetry collections "A Burning Fire", "A Chinese Festival", "Golden Depression" and "Duplicate the Electricity" were all released throughout 2005 to 2010 (all the poetry collections can be found here).
During the summer of 2009, Tony started experimenting with producing music. Since the very first day of the website, he had been hoping to develop the project into a music act. And wouldn't you know it, before long enormous limitations were overcome by that very dream, and the album "White November in China" came to be.
After the official release of White November in China, Tony Marks decided to turn ChuniTana into a professional, full-fledged band and teamed up with Steven Scott. As of late 2010, they are working on their first collaboration: ChuniTana's second album.
